Calling All Angels!!!!!!!!
I am sponsoring a sweet, young, single Mother (Jessica) and her 3-year-old daughter (Abby) with this fundraiser. Jessica courageously left an abusive relationship and is trying to establish a new life for herself and her daughter. I am asking for your support in helping this family get on their feet. Normally, when I sponsor a family for Christmas, I get a couple of grocery gift cards and send those with a few gifts. This can really help out a struggling family during this season. But this year, I want to do something BIGGER. I want to really make a difference not just for a few days but long-term.
See, in 1974, when I was 5, my courageous Mother left our abusive, alcoholic father with 5 kids in tow. We snuck out of the house in the middle of the night, literally with the clothes on our backs and whatever we could carry in black garbage bags. Mom didn’t have a job or even a bank account. We hid out at a cabin of a friend until we could make a new life. That new life consisted of a lot of help from Angels disguised as friends. One Angel let us stay rent-free in a rental house until Mom could get a job and get on her feet. Another angel gave us a used, wood-grain station wagon (perfect for 5 kids). And our church family delivered us so many boxes of food when times were the toughest. My point is, that we would not have made it without Angels that blessed us in so many ways.
So, now I’m calling all you Angels out there to donate to this very special fundraiser. Times have been very hard for Jessica. In the middle of trying to break free from this cycle of abuse, Jessica lost her baby at 34 weeks (still born) and is dealing which unimaginable grief. Still Jessica courageously fights to create a better life for Abby. Jessica has moved into her own apartment and has found a full-time job as a receptionist. She is also fighting for custody of Abby. Abby is still living with Jessica’s ex because she had no means to provide for her at first. To do so, she needs to set up a complete household with furniture, clothes, toys, and groceries for Abby. She needs a used car so that she does not have to rely on her abuser for transportation, or for anything else, honestly. She has $300 saved towards a car. Nobody wants to rely on the person that abused you.
So, in this new year, I would like to call on all you amazing Angels out there and let’s raise enough funds to get Jessica on her feet. Please consider paying it forward and donating to this cause.

I know Jessica personally and I reached out to her with this idea. She would never ask for help herself and even had such a hard time even putting together the list of items. If you have any questions about the fundraiser, please send me a message!
Thank you!
